They do, but simply use a 1/8" drill bit and bore the holes deeper for the peg and then they sit fine.

I actully do these to all my ships, makes them sit better on the flight stands and gives a little bit of variation on them with slightly diffrent hights.

How does this look for a 1k point force?

1x Banshee DR = 230

1x Spectre BB (4x FW) = 195

3x Cerberus CA = 240

3x Spook CL = 195

4x Bulwark FF = 80

3x Siren ES = 60

Not sure what kind of flights to take on the BB, but this is what I have atm.

I'm looking at the Banshee as an upgunned BB at this point, and the Spectre as a.. I don't even know.

Btw, what's the naval designation for Dreadnought and Escort ships?

use the spectre as a hunter of your oppenents medium ships and your cruisers as large ship hunters I've had some success wihh that I think your fleet is sound I would run interceptors as your wing support

Fan made. But I know a few people like Ravagers work better then SGs offical tech in the V2 book.

And because of Spartan's official tech overruling and destroying all my work (that was posted, useable, and widely accepted by the community before the v2 book would have been finished in pre-press), I've decided that I'm never creating any more of these for F:A. For DzC on the other hand (most of the work is already done there though, it's just minor details for some batrep stuff).

Hmm... did you expect that they will never release their own tech-fluff?

Oh, I expected them to release it of course.

I also expected it to follow the precedents they had set with previous snippets of fluff and certain racial MARs.

i really sad to hear that. i for one am ignoring for the most part what spartan games wrote for technnical fluff and still going with your versions ravager. thank you for doing them in the first place though

I just got mine back from my painter 2ton studios and I am impressed with the models.

Last night I was able to get a great game in with my co host Jay and I was impressed on what the fleet did.

Nothing fancy but I think I need some more test runs with them. But I am thinking they will be my new main fleet

Just got some sirens to polish off my (mostly) Relthoza fleet. Has anyone else noticed how hilariously inadequate the peg-holes are? Actually, calling them peg-holes would be insulting to actual holes. Peg indents.

I've drilled the things to make them, well, not fall off (at least not as often), but still think it's a bit poor from spartan releasing them like that - because they're literally impossible to balance on the stands without further drilling, or at the very least blu-tak.

Yes, but Spartan has been so good about it in the past. The Buckler, Guardian, and Pilgrim all sit perfectly on their stands. The Hammers don't, though, which is rather sad. But on the whole, they've been very good about making sure they had decent holes in the metal models. (at least with the ones I've bought.)

none of my metals sit well in their pegs, at least not good enough for me to consider fielding them this way, heck, most of the resin models I consider too shallow and dig deeper (sometimes too greedily, I almost split a dindrenzi crusier in half..)

Hi I am considering getting into this game. The RSN ships did it for me but the Syndicate ships REALLY did it for me and they simply cannot release those soon enough IMO. Hoping they expand them to be an entire fleet like the RSN as well because I'm running out of buckets to fill with drool and other fluids here.

Anyway I was curious about the RSN small ships. Given how awesome the escorts look, I was wondering if they got the models backwards with the escorts and frigates? The escorts are detailed and have dual engines but the frigates look very anticlimactic in comparison with simple hulls and single engines. If this is indeed how they were meant to be (queue disappointment), do you guys think many opponents would disallow me switching the models in games (using frigates as escorts and using escorts as frigates)?

Seeing how bombers and fighters got a boost from the errata I was wondering if a list like this would be viable or would a Dread and company just waltz’s right through it. HCA's go after the DN assisted by the DD's, Mixed CA Sqn goes after other CA Sqns, frigates kill frigates assisted by the carriers torps, Fighters on intercept duty while the bomber go after any DD's and targets of opportunity.
