Just out of curiosity, what paint did you use for the main olive/brown-green coat?

You had me drawing a mental blank for a bit there, but after digging through my (stupidly large...) paint collection, I found that it was Vallejo Game Colour - Desert Yellow. One layer (well, several) to get it a solid colour, washed in a light brown wash then painted over again to give the shading. No highlights or anything beyond that. :)

Nice, thank you. That'll be one to add to my (stupidly large) paint collection. I really like how your boat came out and I'd be curious to see more. It is really reminiscent of the old tamiya plastic model kits that used to come in an olive or ochre brown. The overall colour scheme actually reminds me of 90's plastic mecha models from Japan, actually.

Handy I have a thread about what I've painted so far then. :)

And now that you mention it, yes... It was completely unintentional, but it is a very similar colour... Huh... :P

Nothing spectacular, but I ran with a tan-and-red scheme myself. No idea why, just seemed like a good idea at the time. :P

do you have more pictures of this scheme ?  I think it works really well.

I'd like to try it out and curious how you did other ships and how they look.
