Italian Fleet painting diary

Recommended Posts

Thought I would do some "work in progress" shots of my Italian fleet.

After a light grey primer I've gone for a mostly two-tone effect starting with basic colours of pale bue and sand. Most of the larger areas that will be metalic have been given a black base coat.

More pictures a.s.a.p.

Cheers,

I'm not always sure how well paint schemes will turn out. Sometimes its just a case of making it up as I go along and correcting colour mistakes sometimes along the way :D

The red detail on the ends of the ships has been highlighted with GW 'Hexos Palesun' - one of their "dry" paints.

I have an afternoon off work and hope to use that time to do more with the torpedo boats and tiny flyers, including some decals on the flyers.
