Ok lets get into more details about the Zenian League:

Which Kedorian ships are you planning to play?

Explanations why are welcome below.

The all around concept is nice and some stats of the kedorians dont suck either but i think they are simply too slow.

Escort:

High CR, 360° Movement, Cloak and Target Resolution. The Perfect escort ship for a Large vessel that already has some PD on its own.

They are planned in quite a lot of my fleet variations.

When playing a mission that lets me fold-space into play, or defensive with some good terrain in pace, I like fielding the heavier ships. 5+ to hit them at range and once you're in close they're very dangerous. I've been using Galactica-style ships as proxies but I'd love to see what Spartan does with them...

Yes it needs a battleship, however the kedorian is very special, because its so damn slow.

True, but this poll doesn't let me vote for a non-Kedorian ship. ;)

I'm not playing big enough battles to need a leviathan yet (I'm still getting used to DNs), and the Kedorian leviathan is just as slow as the BB anyway.

I was looking this over and its seems to me like a great Destroyer. 6AD at range band 3 and used in pairs so effective 9ad. Same weapon ratings for port, starboard, for and aft. DR4 and CR8 plus a shield. So when you use the Hidden Killer this has a 360 degree field of fire with no return fire to it. all for only 60 points. Am I missing something? Why wouldn't every Zenian fleet have this squadron?

I'd rather take Venoms - port and starboard arc fire, AD8 each at RB3, so linked for 12. Stealth Systems mean that they don't need to cut engines to be difficult to hit, meaning you can move them around and blast away happily, while taking relatively little fire in return.

All true. But if I could have my choice of any two firing arcs, I'd take Port or Starboard and Aft. 180 degree field of fire and I'm already positioned to retreat.

  • "You just can't resist bringing up the fact that I once accidentally destroyed a couple of planets, can you?"

    - After John Sheppard commented on how he should be used to removing planets from the Ancient database, after destroying the Replicator Home World.
