Armoured Clash

Recommended Posts

Seems there's some awesomeness for everyone in the DW/armoured Clash stuff, but we're gifted with some nice looking new stuff...

Like, you know, "20. Ryuo Class Large Robot" :D

Can't wait to see the rules for everything. I'm already considering getting into the land game (thanks to the Bansan), but these new units just look like the icing on the cake

The EotBS stuff is quite frankly awesome. I am more of a naval man myself, but whats to stop the Japanese using what I suppose is the flying Ryuo over the water I wonder?

Also, a gyro light tank? :P

EotBS as my second faction is looking more and more likely haha!

First look at the list, and it as a case of "Aww, yeah..."

Prussian full robot forces, land escort carriers, heavy tanks, flying tanks...and...Cuthulu?

Armoured Clash is looking to be veeeerrry interesting.

But this still doesn't explain why you havent' started releasing the army lists yet!

Well, it was just a question of time until the EotBS would get another tentacled monstrosity to scare armies of schoolgirls.

I really wonder how the gyros on the Myobu will actually work. It looks too massive to be kept aloft for longer times, but I could see it making some "hops" over terrain while moving.

My thoughts exactly... Maybe kinda like the French ships, to "hop" over difficult terrain and other vehicles?

Perhaps its a land version of the French skimmers.

Now we may have a ground unit that can operate at sea.

I don't know if it's really a skimmer. To me it all depends on what that conehead is all about.

The "Ronin Heavy Walker MkI and MkII" look fantastic. I hope Mk I. is not just a "icon".

seems weird that the 2 ronin are heavy walkers and the walker twice their size is also only heavy.

I don't think they are all to scale. Number 8 (a Prussian heavy) is the sized like a medium on the preview, but looks similar o their land ship. It also might be incorrectly named (I.e. should be a medium).

At first look, I though the dropon of the Mk I. Ronin was the same as of the I-O Taka-Ashi. But zooming in it looks a little bit different. I hope that one could exchange I-O and Ronin dropons, cause I think I would like to use the big cannon on my I-O, and the three barreled "head" on a Ronin.

I am glad for the 6 new units, but was hoping for the huge/massive walkers mentioned in the first rule book.

Any chance these new units will be sold in force unit sizes per armoured Clash?

Your Carrier is a huge/massive walker.

I'm really interested in this unit. It would be fun if it can use both its tracks and gyros in the same activation. Rivers and forrests would be no obstacle to this tank and that would make it a great tank to launch flank attacks with.

I like your thinking BasicBob. Now if we can only make it Amphibous for sea trials !

I'm not sure if I would like them to be Amphibious. Amphibious would make them half their Mv on water, and I don't think that they will have more than 8" on land (so just a crawling 4" on water). I even think that it might be slower (6" or 7" in fact).

Surface Skimmer would be a much more prefered MAR, as it also may move over water, also move over other models and Treacherous Terrain.

So the lighthouse/Tokyo Tower thing has some hints to its purpose on the store. Apparently a command centre/giant rocket battery.

Predicting a combination of:

Attached Bansans

Spotlight Generator

That thing the spotting tower Lysander gets
