So what ship are people using as count-as-Racketeer that doesn't look out of place next to the Brigands and Outlaws?

I was originally intending to just have 3-6 brigands to support my syndicate, but now I'm thinking about adding some Outlaws and a Racketeer and making my Corsairs a standalone fleet, but I'm not sure what ship I would use as a Racketeer. Currently thinking about the W.R. Attrition Class Assault Carrier.

Yes @MinscS2 you should create a full corsair fleet.

Remember to get some outlaws to escort the racketeers

If Spartan does not come out with racketeer minis soon I plan on using WR Oppressor Battlecruisers. They have a small split nose like the corsair ships do. I will make some copies of the turret guns and mod the ships nose

Good point regarding the split nose on the Oppressor's.

I'll have to think this trough before ordering though, I'd need at least 9 Outlaws, but probably 15, which is a fair amount of cash since they're £3,5 each, and I'm not really into the fact that they're pure pewter, but we'll see.

I am trying to hunt an old Earth Alliance Omega destroyer from babylon 5 minis... tough luck so far. But I should have expected that from a 22yo show

I modified a Hawker Industries Excelsior to be both a different looking Hawker battleship and a stand in for pirates. I had two hawker patrol boxes and won't often need two battleships so I figured why the heck not. Here's a picture:

I liked the last generation ship style but I wasn't too keen on the sides with the shield veins. So I added some bulk to the sides to push them out and then flared the shield veins to look swept back. I think it's a sleek effect. In my head I justify it as a heavily modified and retrofitted Excelsior or a pirate captain's prize that has been modded to fit their needs.

Thanks guys! I've got three brigand cruisers coming with a couple of the new OSO boxes. I'm going to try and replicate the above paint job on the cruisers. Might use some of the mountain of new synergy corvettes I'll have as stand in corsair frigates. Not sure what else to do with them except to make debris anyway.

I have a Poseidon class carrier if you're interested

I found a 3D printed Omega yesterday and got it. I never saw a poseidon carrier in the series IIRC

What would you guys do with 30 corvettes? No idea what to do with 18 of them

For anyone who missed it, new models have been shown at Adepticon.
I have seen pictures of the new corsair cruisers and frigates.
Also shown is a new gunship model, which looks similar to the cruiser in style.

The battle carrier was still MIA though, but as some other models were low-res prints I'm assuming the range is not completely done yet and I expect it to be (finally) released sometime this year together with the rest of the range, probably after the release of FSA v3.

They are posted in this group on Facebook and better pics are in the comments.

So how did this turn out Alex, pictures of ships?

It got lost during shipping, got a refund for it and was on hiatus from the hobby since october. Back now, painting some clean white Brigands and Outlaws.

That gunship is gorgeous, I'll take 3, along with the STL trader models

I have 6 Brigands and 12 Outlaws already. I bet the Privateer won't be available separately. Also where is the Racketeer?

Privateer is a lovely new ship and I do want them. But I can't afford to rebuy my whole fleet to get some.

Nice to see FSA getting some new stuff. It should inject some interest into the Community

So the new gunship is up for preorder now. Stats would be helpful, for those of us who might be interested *hint hint*.

We had to bug SG for 3 weeks for the new OSO ships' stats, I had time to paint mine before I had the rules. Ordering a Racketeer and some gunships either way
