Brunel Versus Ablative Armour

So Good news the Brunels destructive ordnance does have an effect on the russian ablative armour. basically you still have to get the critical rating but when you do the armour is cracked, you do 2 damage and a roll on the critical table, after that its business as usual. Need more Brunels.

Hypothetically we should not. The Russian Empire is a Britannian ally - seeking to curb Prussian militarism on land as we do on the sea. Their ambitions in the Great Game notwithstanding, the only place of contact between the two empires is the border of Russian Alaska with the Yukon Territories - and as the Czar's police use Russian Alaska as a dumping ground for the most intransigent rebels, the likelihood of a military buildup there going unreported means that should it occur, we will have plenty of opportunity to have loyal Canadian regiments in place to meet them.

It will be fun finding out or maybe not knowing my dice rolling at times. I have a tendancy to roll great or rubbish e.g. last game 9 dice highest roll 3, then 8 dice got 6 x 6's. The 9 dice against a battleship, the 8 dice on a frigate. I just don't get it.

After reviewing and testing the interaction between these rules, and any potential knock on effects, the decision has been reached to redact the prior clarification and return to the original intent.

A model with the Ablative Armour MAR CANNOT suffer a Critical Hit until it has lost its Ablative Armour. ‚ÄčThis supersedes the Destructive Ordnance MAR, and any other effects which would otherwise cause a Critical Hit when the model's Damage Rating is exceeded.

Thank you for your patience in waiting whilst we determined the best way to clarify these rules.

True enough - it has. However, the Brunel is the best carrier the KoB has bar none and only through investing in land warfare and getting my mates to take the plunge too can I see how it smashes them!

And having RC too, I favour a big land KoB / RC team-up: what an Olympic tag team!

I still think putting a Brunel next to a river/lake and putting three Bastion escorts with it is the best move.

Although not great if the Brunel has to move away for any reason. In fact, it ties the Brunel to one spot or just coastal areas.
