Hannibal
I’m excited by the announcement of Lost World Exodus. As formal player of Dystopian legion waited this for some time. And I’m pleased to see that some of the concepts are inspired by troops available in DL (but with Warcradle’s style!) I hope every old miniature would have a new LWX profiles. Do you think there will be a beta test for this game? Redcoat and RuleBritannia
Burson_Carpathian
As mentioned by Stuart in a Beasts of War interview they don't plan to do a betatest, since the core mechanics were already tested (-> see Wild West Exodus).
RuleBritannia
I thought it was going to be a different larger scale system?

As opposed to the old miniatures, Lost World Exodus will be a 35mm scale system just like Wild West Exodus. EDIT: though you still might manage to put your minis on WWX-plinth style bases (which are a tad higher than other bases) in order to give your models more "height". Maybe you'll also be able to proxy your models with new rules, but don't expect to find suitable statcards for every model from the old range. RuleBritannia
Not scale in terms of model size but rules wise. Larger detachments with commanders not just sone angry dude blasting away at each other.
Valander
From Stuart at Adepticon, LWX will be "compatible" with WWX, and he even said that in tournaments you could run LWX factions vs WWX factions. So the core mechanics will definitely be the same, and likely the general point cost levels as well. There will be commanders instead of Bosses, but he didn't share a lot of detail there. It's possible that a "standard" game of LWX may be a bigger point value than a "standard" game of WWX, but again, if they're going to be usable against each other in a tournament, the relative point values are going to have to be the same so that a 1500 point WWX posse is roughly equal in power to a 1500 point LWX company or whatever they're called. Hannibal
Miniatures from DL or WWX, seem to be more or less the same size (but I don't have WWX miniature to be sure) I really expect that every units available for DL will have a new profiles for LWX As Rulebritannia, I understand that LWX will be mode focus on troops and commandment, than WWX. But I don't expect big changes in term of numbers of mini on the table. We’ll see… Edit: About miniature size I find this picture: Seems ok for me Redcoat and RuleBritannia

We’ll see… I would prefer a squad based game that is a level up from WWX, allowing interplay of models, but something that is a bit more unique in focus, allowing a closer to Legions feel but including some of the WWX synergy stuff. I miss the unit activation style and fancy dice ideas from legions, being one of the dozen or so that liked that game, but have some expanded forces or options would tempt me. Burson_Carpathian
@RuleBritannia Have you seen the introduction video for LWX by Warcradle and Beasts of War? During the video Stuart describes some of the mechanics which will included in the new game, such as specialists (the LWX pendant to WWX' faces) joining a unit of some sort of troops choice etc. Redcoat
RuleBritannia
To be brutally honest I hate the videos. as a way of taking in information. It takes ages to understand anything, things are rather vague and changeable and as a style they don't appeal to me. I am therefore running off blogs and second hand accounts and stuff mentioned earlier. If you have the enthusiasm to clarify how it works that would be great. ShapsyTheMad
I agree with RuleBritannia also. They need to fix WWX first and release missing models, Also make system faster as there rules are better but slower games and harder to get new players to enter. I have a miniature store in Australia and we have about 16 new players over last month. But people finding much harder then GW Kill Team and Malifaux skirmish games. I been a collector since Outlaw release with Kickstart in 2012/2013. I am trying to build a larger community here as I now have an Australia distributor. Make a second system like PP done with Warmachine and hordes is not the answer. Make rules smoother games faster and grow the player bases. We are working on Reference sheets and clearing up rule issues we have found this past month. I will be posing some stuff over the coming months on the forums to help grow my WWX local community here. RuleBritannia

Keep in mind that there's a big rules update underway (v1.09) which incorporates the current feedback on v1.08. There's still time to submit feedback via the feedback-form. https://blog.warcradle.com/wild-west-exodus-card-feedback
Ussskip
I feel Wild West Exodus is far easier and less rock paper scissors than Malifaux. As to kill team I think you are seeing the effect of using the same rules 40k has had for well 40k years. So using the same mechanics between thew two is a great thing imho. There is a learning curve because its rules are not 40K. Malifaux has a steep learning curve lots of interaction problems with SA. I do find I play WWX differently than other games. I tend to play a lot more like a western than a war game. I think the rules are good but can be better. a cheat sheet with all SA would be great.
