I still recall Spartan teasing us with getting two new dragons for Dragon Lords that never came  And the continual hope that they'd get resculpts as comparing the old to the new designs was night and day in difference on the hulls (DL did get upgraded to the new casting methods, just their ships were terribly boring on the hulls)

 

I want a game where I've got ships using magic to power dragon sails whilst dragons fly past to breath fire and fumes down whilst ballista fire magical bolts that scream through the air; whilst undead armies beat drums so that legions of undead can row vast ships; catapults throwing huge rocks and undead whales rising from the depths to pull ships and then to collide into the enemy. To see large ships swing and fire row after row of cannon and and and and........

Total agreement Overread.  Like old school fantasy if you do it right you can model various kind of historical visions of sailing and give them a twist.  Triremes crewed by the undead, remorseless, slow but deadly when they hit.  High medieval vessels with artillery and archery clearing the enemy deck but needing the weather vane, Dwarven vessels like iron clads with limited but deadly firepower and tough as old boots.

Well the Firestorm Classics went on the store in December 2018 but most still show in restock as of this date. I have an order in since December that has not been filled as of this date. Wayland Games (the store) has sent me multiple emails indicating they are not getting stock. That's 2 months now and counting. Warcradle what is the status of the Firestorm Classics in the store? Why put them on the store if they are not available? I sure hope we do not have to wait for them until the Beta to  comes out in the fall. That's 2 years from from acquiring Firestorm from Spartan Games. It is hard to keep the interest going when the models are not available and the game re-do keeps being put off to the sometime in the future. Please give a better update than the 31 January 2019 gloss over.  Thanks.

Got some hawkers coming my way after payday, very very glad that the classics line is being reprinted in the meantime. Tough getting games around here though! When the new beta releases I'm hoping to start a group pf players here again.

A lot of the firestorm stuff appeared without photos and without any stock ever showing - I know I figured that it meant it was goin to come "eventually" but was mostly just a page lander waiting for stock to be produced in batches.

I pre-ordered some of the 'available for pre-order models' and have received 90% of them - resin and metals all in great nick. However, a couple of others I was asked to raise a ticket for and then sked if I would prefer a refund due to the delay. No biggie, but none of the ships I pre-ordered have dropped into 'in stock' yet.

I got a Hawker Carrier and Escorts, I also ordered a directorate Battlecruiser, a terran torpedo cruiser, and a couple of RSN heavy Cruisers and a few other bits which all came fine, but didn't get hawker frigates

If someone from warcradle could confirm are the 'awaiting restock' ships actually just being cast on demand? or are we genuinely waiting on a restock? I'd just like to know whether it makes more sense to wait until the stock levels are updated on the website before blowing some payday moulah!

This message has two purposes: Introduce myself and warning you that Wayland has recently added a bunch of ships of several core races.

For instance, the Terran Alliance ships are almost all of them for purchasing.

Hope this game won't die. I really love it.

Is there a way to find out if additional models will become available in the future and if yes which ones specifically? Because there were quite a few models that I still wanted to get before they went OOP but didn't get around to it, and they're not available on Wayland, either (basically RSN Patrol Fleet and Dreadnought Box as well as a Dindrenzi gunship and one Aquan and Directorate escort carrier). I can go look on the secondary market but I'd rather buy them new.

 

I also have an order of FSA models in limbo right now. It's been three to four weeks, now, so I'm starting to get worried that it somehow got lost at Warcradle. Does it always take that long (which would be alright with me, I've still got enough to paint) or should I open a ticket?

I had an order for a ship that sat for a couple of months if I recall right. It was waiting on stock and I was happy to let it sit there (the Wayland team did contact me once or twice asking if I wanted to keep it open or refund). I think the real issue is just the lack of clear communication on deadlines - then agian I think its also because WC is doing these castings on the side and that classic stuff isn't in a standard production chain. So its all a bit ad-hock. Which likely makes orders for it sparring (esp when the Wayland site shows so many out of stock)

I've had Ryushi on order since December...so yeah, it's not part of the standard production.  To their credit, Wayland has also contacted me to see if I want a refund.  I'm okay to wait, but once the FSA beta hits the street, I'm going to want models on the table.

So, to summarize: It almost always takes that long, probably because they wait for a big enough backlog that throwing some old Spartan moulds on the model making machines (I obviously know everything there is to know about how miniatures are made) makes economic sense for them. Which, again, is alright with me as I'm not in a hurry.

 

Any info on whether the range of available models will expand in the future? Or are the ones currently at Wayland all that will ever be available until the reboot?

(Which, you'll note, doesn't answer the question at all) As with many of you above, a wait in itself isn't an issue for me, but the lack of clear communication (after taking our money no less) really is.

Far as I know whilst Warcradle is part of Wayland its not the same team behind it and Warcradle operates on its own - though yeah you'd think the staff at Wayland would be able to talk to Warcradle staff more directly for a clearer answer.

It would be good to have some news.

I am waiting for the stock of some Soylian ships (usually, I only buy items if they are in stock). But, most important for me is to know if some ships that I want, like the Dindrenzi Praetorian battleship, Sorylian Harvester Warwolf gunship, etc. will be available. If I can wait, or I try to find them in other ways.

And my beloved Tarakians! Warcradle:  Will you realise them?

I've got another question about the available models: There's two types of Terquai torpedo cruisers (the old and new one) and only the old type of Dindrenzi gunship available. Is that a labelling mistake and they're supposed to be Aruals and Spathas instead? Because if yes I might have to spend some money.
