Disorder become damage more tactial play

New rule for disorder, which make game more tactical

Once a ship receives it's 5th Disorder Marker you remove them and replace it with 1HP Damage.

I also recomend use Carnage Damage Table rule of

mitigate the effects of Damage Markers by removing only 1 Success for every 2 Damage Markers present.

I would not want to give the fifth disorder to most targets- that's four defensive successes that you're giving back for one damage. Considering that largeer ships will likely have defensive dice pools in the upper single digits, where putting Disorder on them then helps you stick damage to them, this rule does the opposite of what people think needs to be done with Disorder, which is to make it meaningful beyond the point where defensive dice were long gone.

Fail to see how this translates to more tactical play. It will go faster and that is the point.

firstyfor races who use much corrosive as Rethloza or Directoriate this will be matter.

Secondly it will add more choices when you attact models with corrosive, like make 2 separate attack to try to put 2 additional tokens etc.

With the ships currently available we've found Disorder is pretty much irrelevant. Especially after the first 2 tokens. Considering the HP on a Tier 3 it's basically not helpful to Disorder as the damage would be better.

 

Perhaps just a quirk of the Aquan/Directorate starter but the only defensive stat that actually maters is DR, which is high enough on the Aquan ships to require getting 3+ ships into 8 inches to reliably hurt them.

 

Basically, there's too much Disorder on the damage table compared to what it actually contributes to the game as it stands now. Perhaps later ships will have more defences to make larger numbers of Disorder meaningful.
