Voyager

Voyager's Prussian Empire force

Recommended Posts

Hey guys!

In this topic I'm going to post my completed Prussian Empire models.

Unfortunately, and probably just as many of you, I am a busy man - wife, kid, job etc. Moreover, I'm quite a slow painter. Thus, don't expect a hurricane of updates here. Also, I've got several projects of different games going on so everything just have to wait for its turn in the project queue. The wailing of the shed-load of untouched miniatures coming from the wardrobe is just my imagination...  ;)

Do not expect exceptionally well painted models here. It's rather a compromise between time and quality.

Enjoy then and please, comment if you like.  :)

At first, I would like to point my certain modeling feature. Because Dystopian Legions miniatures are mainly metal, I'm adding weight to their bases. It lowers particular model's centre of gravity and thus, reduces its chances to trip over when knocked or put on an uneven surface.

I realise the feature by gluing lead fishing weights (prior squished with pliers) to the bottom of the model base. Then I fill the rest of the base bottom interior with the two component epoxy glue. The examples of such realisations are shown below.

And now the Grenadier Section.
Those are the older, single part models from the currently OOP Starter Set boosted by the currently OOP Specialist Set (i.e. a Specialist Grenadier armed with Vierling and a 'normal' Grenadier).

Really good looking models Voyager! Looking forward for more images!

Would you mind if I added your pictures to the Community Newsletter? ^_^

Not at all. Feel free to use the pictures.  :)

And thanks for the kind words guys. I'm more motivated to work on Dystopian Legions.

After many months long hiatus I've decided to dust off the thread with posting some pictures. I just can't stand wailing of the assembled and undercoated models, so I've finally finished paint jobs on them. The results I present in the following posts (not all at a time; but to let you digest and to give me time to maintain pictures etc. :-) ).

We start with the PE Officer.

Continuing the officers entries here we have Werner Hahl and Glücklich. As you can see, Glücklich is a conversion. Its front is a bulldog from Mantic's Dwarf Ironclad Regiment, whereas its back I've built with various styrene profiles and few bits.

And here we have a 300kV Pak 69 "gun". The model was really hard to paint. In my excitement I've assembled the model completely and then I asked myself "How am I going to paint it now!?"... So, after lots of brush contortions the effect is shown below. :-)

The last painted stuff so far. Shedload of other items is waiting almost untouched in boxes. However, the latest neglect of Dystopian Legions by Spartan is not encouraging me to work on DL any further for the time being...

Anyway, Teutonic Knights.
