Magnetizing the Relthoza

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody.

Considering the weight of the wings of the Relthoza Cruisers, I suggest using a hobby drill to carefully widen the holes to fit magnet with 3x2 mm (the same magnets fitting for the flighpegs).

This makes the ships a lot steadier. But by careful not to drill to deep or not deep enough because the connection points need to be smooth.

Happy hunting fellow spiders!

2x1 might hold, but handling during play might knock the wings off. I'd go as big as you can as the magnet is the only thing holding it.

Aquans could do the smaller magnets as they almost gravity fit.

i have magnetized all 6 factions, and 5 of them are OK with the 2mm magnets,

for the relthoza (due to their vertical ships) I think a 3mm magnet would have been better,

we haven't played relthoza yet,

but I believe that the wings will come of during movement,

I will most likely open them again and go for bigger magnets.

This is exactly what I have found. I used 2x1mm magnets and they hold the wings in place but they will come off with a bit of a knock. Wish I'd used slightly larger magnets :(

I have magnetised my Relthoza with 3mm magnets

I am very happy with the result. The magnets were easy to fit and hold fast.

The hex shape of the studs keeps the wings aligned nicely too.

I have also used 3mm magnets on my Dindrenzi

I plan on using 2mm on the Terrans and Sorylians
