New Downloads - 23-02-16

This is just a quick note in regards to the new downloads, we'll be posting a longer blog post about it later.

 

We have uploaded updated ORBATs for:

 

The Black Wolf Company

The Ottoman Empire

The Chinese Federation.

 

 

You can also find our FAQ online now.

 

In addition, we have started to add the nation backgrounds as downloadable files - you will see more of these coming, but so far we have: The Honourable Eclipse Company, The East India Merchant Company, The Australians, The Ottomans, The Chinese, and the Black Wolf.

(I played a great game last night between the Royal Australians and Separatist Ottomans - sooo close, but I was unable to finish the job! Highlights were rolling ridiculously well for the Victoria Monitors and boarding and 'derelicting' the Hisar with my Crocs... ahh, so close)

The Ottoman Typos:

 

Sadrazam Battleship have a typo - GNE generator lacks the distance in brackets

 

Sinop monitor have a typo - the squadron support MAR is writen as SAS Recon plane 1. but in the upgrade it is written as SAW 1 which mean that two Sinops with one upgrade should be able to create SAS of 4 fighters.

Will fix the Shadrazam.

 

With the Sinop the upgrade reads:

 

This Model may upgrade the Squadron Support (OE: SAW, Reconnaissance Plane, 1) MAR to Squadron Support (OE: SAS, Fighters, 3) MAR for +10 points     

*Sinop Monitors field their SAS squadrons individually and do NOT combine their SAS.*

 

So each Sinop normally fields 1 Recon plane each as a support squadron. For +10 points per model they can replace the 1 Recon SS for 3 Fighters (for each Sinop) (I have switched the use of SAW and SAS to be more clear).

So an un-upgraded squad of two Sinops would come with two separate spotter planes (Support Squadron, recon plane (1)).

 

If you upgraded both for a cost of 20 points (10+10), you would replace the two spotters with two SAS of 3 Fighters (Support Squadron, Fighters (3)).

 

Or you could upgrade one for 10 points and the Squadron would come with 1 spotter and a SAS of 3 fighters.

 

Whatever you choose to do however, you can't combine two upgrades into a SAW of 5 fighters and 1 recon, as the Sinop Monitors field them individually.

Was looking at the FAQ and saw the Defensive AA and CC part in regard to multiple volleys into a single model.

Does this also apply to a squadron linking their AA or CC, or can the linked dice be split to defend the other volleys??

And does the also affect the Target Jammer Generator??

So if a model with a generator is targets by 3 volleys of rockets, would the jammer have to choose to defend from one of the volleys, the AA can defend a second, but the third goes through unscathed??

Yes, it also applies with linking. Page 58 (of the Admiral's Edition) states that a model can only make ONE counter attack with AA and ONE counter attack with CC. Weapons that link or combine are included as a part of that one counter attack.

 

No, it does not affect the Target Jammer - the Target Jammer is a continuous effect generator that resolves the instant an enemy squadron targets the Model with the Target Jammer with the appropriate weapon type. If an enemy targets you three times with rocket attacks, the generator will function for each (page 101 of the Admiral's Edition).
