Commander Drakere
Khitari - Swapped Breacher Teams for Sweeper Teams and went up from 0-2 to 0-
Nunizillion
Just going over the leviathans stats a bit... We have the only Leviathan walker that isn't lumbering! (not counting the RSN mini leviathan). DR is pretty bad but 8 shields is nothing to sneeze at.
Commander Drakere
Having 8 shields be why you have bad DR..! The Odin would be angry if it wasn't for fact it got to re-roll 1s xD

kimek
Just make sure that pesky Nys wih 3 Sweeper teams didn't manage to charge at this big guy! It WILL hurt!
Commander Drakere
Yep.. keep those light tanks nearby and on overwatch standby! x) As pretty much all infantry just got more deadly with conversions from Breacher to Sweeper across the board..! Indeed, but, at the same time, infantry, grew more squishy. No more DR 6 Nyx, meand they would die much faster when enemy starts to fire at them (preferebly, during overwatch). Commander Drakere
That and the CQB hit they took, getting dropped from 4 to 3, they're still best light infantry around but they're no longer as shining finally..!
Aunshi
Aquan Leviathan is an odd one. Its pretty much the only thing we have, other than the recon tanks, that I'd want to advance with. And its a bit of a CQB beast as well. Much contemplation and play testing perhaps. A note; there might be times when the prudent thing will be to fire the two laser beams seperatly, maximising the pinpoint potential against medium tanks. Hicks
Aquan Leviathan is an odd one. Its pretty much the only thing we have, other than the recon tanks, that I'd want to advance with. Nooooo! Remember Aquan rule #1, never finish an activation in reach of CQB!
Commander Drakere
Sooooooooo.. we just learnt finally, now that all the Orbats are properly updated and fixed, that Nyx now gain Kill Team when they have an officer, thus negating the drop from 4 to 3 when Initiating, and can get 3 Sweepers, for 22AD CQB re-rolling 1s on the drop as an Alpha Strike. I think your Leviathan should be very very afraid...
kimek
And those Nys would cost a 205 pts + 30 pts Damcoles and at least one Circe for 115 pts = 350 pts - not so cheap Though now some units with anti-personell staying on overwatch are must have for any Nation that face Dindrenzi
Uhoh22
I quite like that our sweeper teams still increase our DR where as noone else does, and that our officer that i have debated on many occasions also adds a DR to the squad!
Old Ironspine
I'm curious as to why our leviathan seems to have been fitted with an inferior nexus designator.
MaxToreador
I'm curious as to why our leviathan seems to have been fitted with an inferior nexus designator. ? o.0 Inferior? If you mean the fact it doesn't have Skydrop Nexus then neither does your Heavy Support. If anything the SirSir is fitted with an inferior one for not having target lock. Old Ironspine
I was referring to the range of 20 compared to all our others at 30.
MaxToreador
oh, sorry taken for granted that they're all 30". Eh, I can kinda see why. Looks like it was intended to make the lasers a powerhouse at EF but not past that more than for zeroing in crystal drops.
Aunshi
That's why I was talking about advancing with the Leviathan, it seems to be a lot more powerful within 20 inches, or 16 inches rather, than at long range. Also, no hover, so no benefit to staying at long range. Really though i feel as though this would be the final battering ram for the final thrust into the enemy army once the enemy has been softened at long range. Spellduckwrong
The lack of Independent Targeting on the El-Shami seems wierd. The anti-infantry weapon seems like an odd pairing to the Pinpoint laser without that MAR.
Seedious
Having 8 shields be why you have bad DR..! The Odin would be angry if it wasn't for fact it got to re-roll 1s xD When did the Odin get to reroll their 1's? It only states that Armoured squadrons get to reroll 1's on their shield roll. The Odin is considered Elevated which means it doesn't.
Commander Drakere
Oh right.. in which case, THE ODIN IS ANGRY.
RuneGrey
Odin will just have to take its Pinpoint 4 laser, and its mass of rotatory guns, and its shield projector, and its missile launchers, and its artillery support, and its additional DR, AND ITS INDEPENDENT TARGETING FOR ALL THAT... and go sulk in a corner or something, I dunno. Quarterstaff Games
Only thing I'd like to see is the Khitari gun teams have the Maelstrom cannon stats that the Imzani Maelstrom cannon has. It should be the same weapon. The stats used to be the same but when the lights got upgraded the infantry did not. Alex Mann
Spellduckwrong
Odin is sulking away, looking over his shoulder at 8 sheild dice. The Odin can sulk all the way into CQB where it rips off one of those tripod legs and beats the main canister with it.
