Warlog for Dystopian Wars

Recommended Posts

It should be easy. 4 points for Crushing victory, 3 for minor victory, 2 for draw, 1 for minor defeat and 0 for crushing defeat. Battle over 1200 point will count for one additional point. The players shoudl say nations and point size of their battle and the result. Players should have account here so they can testify that battle realy happen. The only problem will be doing the statistics.

I hope you guys will post some results so I can update the statistics as soon as possible.

So once again the rules how to post results:

1. Sides and players - state your nations and name of the players

2. Size of battle - Less then 1200 or more then 1200

3. Who win and how - to each side write down either CV for Crushing Victory (4 points (5 points in large battles), NV for Narrow Victory (3 points (4 in large battles), D for Draw (2 points), ND for Narrow Defeat (1 point), CD for Crushing Defeat (0 point)

I shall refrain from listing every recent game I've played, otherwise I'll win the war single-handed, but one or two can't hurt.

Game 1:

CoA vs. CF

Castellan-Commodore Sebenko vs. Castaras

1000 pts

CV to CoA

CD to CF

-

Game 2:

PLC vs. RC

Sebenko vs. G

1000 pts

CV to PLC

CD to RC

(He really shouldn't have accepted Mediums + 50%- ten medium models is a lot at 1000pts, especially when three of them are Gryfs arriving on turn three!)

Wow, that starts looking pretty good. So just a few thoughts/suggestions:

1) Would it be possible to get the table sorted a bit? Eg Core factions in alphabetical order then Alliance Nations in alphabetical order.

2) I'd suggest to rethink the +1 for bigger battles. Although it is easy it actually "spoils" data a bit (imagine eg CoA only fighting 1250+ games they would finish with an average of +0.5 points per battle compared to a faction with the same amount of "small" and "big" games and thus look pretty strong). If you want to give the bigger battles more importance you could still take a weighed approach for the results and as you would have to collect data sorted this would even allow to see if there are nations that are better in big/small battles, but this would mean a bit of additional work.

3) I'd suggest to edit some basic rules into post Nr. 1 (how to post results, which battles count, if allies are allowed) and add the current WARLOG to the very first post so that people can see the current standings in a glance.

4) Keep it coming: Nice to see this WARLOG taking shape.

1) Core nations are listed in the same way as in core rule book And small nations - you can find them What bothers me more is that I cannot list all factions as the table would be too large so I list all naval nations. I try to change it but I have to figure how.

2) all nations have the same chance to play large battles so I keep it this way until I see some reason to change it. Its too soon know.

3) Ill see what I can do

4) Thanks
