Personally against Terrans I'd want more PD than what you're throwing down. This means - dump the Battlestation for a Carrier+Shunt group with Bombers and Interceptors. Make that your admiral, then use the maneuverability to drag the Apex into optimal firing positions. I'd prefer Nidus+bombers to Widows/Drones at pretty much any point in time, but especially against Terrans. Their reliance on torps means you want as much PD as possible. Go dense, activate your wing-carrying squadrons as early as possible, and cover as much stuff as possible with your wings. Yes, they can get Nuclear stuff, but if they can't hit you in the first place, it doesn't matter.

I'd keep the Battlecruisers and Dreadnought at extreme range, using ludicrous PD to keep them safe from Terran torps, until you shunt the Carrier behind. Then you use our racial TAC to bring the DN or BC behind the enemy and start raping them. Everything else is support.

I disagree on bunching up. It will take a single lucky roll to eliminate a lot of your points (frigates and SRS).

I would also consider the tactics with the battle station. Keep in mind that it has no speed and bomber are short ranged. If you shunt entry in, the Terrans could just avoid it and your bombers become useless. I almost prefer fighters on it due to this.

I'd also suggest getting Maneuverable on the dread if you can. It's great for flying up, going full stop and rotating like a turret of death to pick off what ever you like.

Be careful of going light in the tier 2. Destroyers are a glass cannon if deployed incorrectly and shunt cruisers can fail badly on some iffy shunt rolls. As long as you are aware of these weaknesses, you'll be fine.

I do completely agree with Flamebeast on needing more PD. Instead of bunching tight, take Nidus with interceptors and keep the interceptors within 6" of both the Nidus pegs and the ships you have them escorting as the interceptors can combine PD to any ship within that range.

To clarify - by "bunching up" I meant this, though I run the interceptors off my carriers and take Bombers on the Nidus (so the nidus aren't tied down to my large ships but still have their own PD cover, and some kickass firepower).

Nah man, gotta have space to maneuver. I do keep them pretty close together to start for aforementioned wing-based PD cover, but not so close that nuclear torps would break my whole fleet. And tbh, the PD cover I'd be getting would be like 15 or so, so you'd be hard-pushed to break through that with torps anyway, nuclear or otherwise.
