  1. Which games produced by Warcradle Studios do you play? Just Dystopian Wars at the moment How long have you been playing these games? I've been playing since the release of the 2-player starter box Where do you play? I'm from Mississippi, USA. I play at my local game store and my friends and I have a gaming group that's about 30 years old. We started playing Warhammer 40K back around 1992. Which fleets and armies do you own? Which fleets and armies do you plan to add to your collection? Commonwealth, Enlightened and most recently, Imperium What is your favourite Warcradle Studios model? The Ice Maiden, although I don't have one yet. I can't find a retailer in the states that carries it, but I'm looking. Anything else you would like to tell the Warcradle Studios Community? I'm looking forward to meeting new friends and players here. And I can't wait until the game expands to cover ground forces.
  2. That's fine if that's the case. I really want to buy into the whole combat system and have massive battles on sea, air and land. I've seen so many cool pics from the original game and they look fantastic.
  3. I'm relatively new to Dystopian Wars, but I've been following the game for years. Last year, I bought the "Hunt for the Prometheus" starter set and I've been steadily buying more fleets ever since. I'm a huge fan of the game now and was hoping that they would eventually reintroduce the ground/air combat version of the game. I had read that they might get to that eventually, but it would be a different scale. I certainly hope that's not the case. One of the biggest draws to the original game (at least for me) was seeing old pictures and battle reports of the combined arms (sea, air and land). Adding the ground units in a different scale makes zero sense, because you can't combine squat at that point. The benefits of making a compatible scale should be obvious -- especially with the fans of the original game. They've played it and seen it work effectively. If the developers at Warcradle do shift the scale, I think they're hurting themselves and the future of DW. So, if anyone in charge of the game reads this, PLEASE consider making the ground combat compatible with the naval combat. The two games should be in scale with each other (at least within reason). I used to be an Epic 40K player back in the day and one of the best aspects of that game was the use of combined arms. Infantry, ground vehicles, air support, artillery and the titans. I'd love to see that idea carried forward with Dystopian Wars and I would be willing TO THROW MONEY AT YOU for doing this. If the scale ends up being different, I'll probably just play the naval game and that'll be it.
  4. I order all of my stuff from Miniature Market (online) and I just have to be patient with restocks. My local shop has never heard of the game, but was fascinated when I showed the owner the game and product line. He checked with his supplier and they were having trouble getting stock in the U.S. But to start up some interest, I'm going to host some games with my 3 fleets. Hopefully, things will get better over time. I just don't expect a lot of stores to stock this in the U.S.
