  1. He is working through it from what I understand and something should be up soon. Remember it is a small company and Neil has to wear many hats there.
  2. I just want to make it clear that seeing any ships added as accompaniments right now is very unlikely. This takes a lot of testing to find safe places for accompaniments to be both worth while without being game breaking. But I do agree many of the ships in the current game would be interesting as accompaniments.
  3. Lets ignore the Velites for now and I have no issue if you keep testing it but we have gotten a good amount of feedback on it so far. SO lets look at the Decurion and what are your feeling and testing feedback on this ship? (NOTE: We are aware of the rule overlap of Quick Launch and Split Berth.) Dealign with the hardpoints for this ship how often do your see yourself taking one of the other? Do you see yourself taking a squadron of these ships in a force that already has some very strong Tier 2 choices? If you do not find this ship that attractive to take what other options would you go with? New Hardpoints? Slight boost to weapons?

Ok I am going to fish for a little more on the "Upgrade the Shunt Matrix (3) to Shunt Matrix (4)" over Stealth with a little more details and my other post still stands for anyone who has yet to comment. I'm interested in the WHY very much and again this is used to gather data. Is it the issue of the cost as if they were both free would it be closer of a choice? Is it that you already have Shunt 3 and one extra 6D is not that big of a deal? Do you dislike the current shunt rule so much that is the point that this turns you away? Is Stealth just that strong of a MAR even with the range limitation it is always your go to even on ships that are best used in RB 1?
  5. How often do you see yourself taking the hardpoint "Upgrade the Shunt Matrix (3) to Shunt Matrix (4)" over Stealth? If you see yourself taking Stealth every time what alternate hardpoint option would give you pause to pick something over Stealth? What would the Iramon more appealing to you? 1. A boost in weapons? 2. Difficult Target? 3. None this ship is awesome! 4. I still would not take for anything more than a cheap tier 2.

  18. I want to apologize if I came off in an negative manner in some of my earlier posts. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. The powers at be (Neil) will be taking in all the feedback. I have a set of suggestion that could help for better feedback below. As there were no set of rules and guidelines set down for the public beta feedback we found that people were heading off in directions that are on the levels of conjecture at times. The best method to refine the ships is testing every version of the ships that are released. No matter if they look to good or like something you might never want to take. -Test with an player of equal or higher skill level than yourself. -A pregame conversation to what the Beta ships do in manner of offense, defense, movement, utility and area of influence prior to list building. -Fielding at least 2 squadrons of the ships that are being tested if they are not a tier 1 ship. -Take lots of notes and have conversations with your testing partner. This means the test game will take much longer than normal. -Abnormal dice rolls of extreme highs or lows are ignored as an aberration of the random mechanism of rolling dice plus the exploding 6s. (example: 12AD attack and you get 22 hits because of chain 6s or I have 6PD and 5AD to defend against a 15AD boarding action and I only defended with 2 success and the attacker tripled the current CP count.) -Playing games at different point levels helps to see how Beta ships work in the range of the system. -Try to leave personal agendas aside when testing because the most honest and cleaner testing results will lead to better data that the people who get the final say on the ships can take into account. -When providing feedback post your testing results and try to find solutions that will work within the current model if it has already been created. Also ideas that will not invalidate other ships currently in the line. As I am under the NDA there are a few things I can't explain to the public that would give you the "OH, now I understand why we are doing this!". It is not a negative thing just a factor of circumstances. Please keep testing and providing feedback. Neil is ever watching ..

  23. Try to use some stand in models or proxies and see if you can get a game in with a friend this weekend. More feedback the better during the open beta period. Plus the models look amazing.
  24. The public beta for these ships is open for less than two weeks at this point. I can understand the dislike of proxies but when it comes to testing for the betterment of the community I normally make an exception. I'm happy you are getting those ships they look very nice.
