Its been a while since i stepped into DW. I kinda like the new ship style, but please please please make the crown on Britannian turrets optinal. They look so ugly, it is really destroying the beautiful model.

I think you missed part of the explanation in the paragraph. The dice numbers you quoted here are for my ship with an attached Dominion, not by itself. My ship does not do these numbers by itself, and at its point cost, shouldnt do that...

@Merlin while the dread robots enjoy many a differing opinion of support/disdain, I am afraid that logically there isn't much I can do to relieve your particular concerns for them at this time.
As more "standard" vessels will be getting attention prior to some of the more esoteric, a full review of their capabilities, while on my laundry list, is not at the top of the pile!
Ensuring first that the ORBATS are in working order for the new edition is priority one. Following that, is the careful consideration of internal balance and potency review! Following all of that is our dear old friends the bots.
Logically it's the most considerate way to ensure that they have a place on the tabletop for gamers that wish to enjoy them, as (personally) they are incredible models that deserve a fair shake!

What should be discussed is the vauban. In my opinion it is totally op broken for the points. Firepower of a dread, french cloud und carrier 9 for 300? Thats s bad joke. 380 seems appropriate. Opinions?

Whilst I look forward to new toys for the kob, I am very wary about new generators coming from other factions because it worsens the flavour bleed and reduces the factional differences.  in the same way I really disliked the guardian generator becoming so common outside of the kob. There are easy fluff justifications for it, and the copying and adapting of enemy technology is a feature of real life, but I do not think it is a positive thing for the game. If your new vessel brings a fancy new toy from the enemy, then I hope it has a points value that shows just how rare and experimental it is for the kob even if that points value seems a bit high for what it is. I am sure it will be well balanced and and useful addition, and I am sure my worries about watering down the differences between factions are baseless... but it still concerns me. Fewer and fewer things are unique to factions these days.

What else of a weapon should they get instead if not Tesla or guns? I think you are a bit spoiled with the Tesla thing. FSA has guns and rockets. Brits have Torps and guns. Russians only have guns. CoA have Energy/guns and Torps....
Maybe if you are too bored by a nation, try out another one. Fluffwise the only real inventive faction should be CoA. I honestly have no idea what you are mourning bout.

    Nation: KoB
    Model: Monarch
Problem: Always by a very far margin the worst alltime heavy battleship. Now internal balance issues with Magnate. Same Role as Magnate, but miles worse and much more expensive.
Suggestion: Finding a new role for the ship. Heavy Turret with a 10/8/6/4 split with devastating. Giving it similar issues as the new mk2 magnate, whether to link all weapons and lose devastating or risk something for linking only heavy turrets but get boni.
With the upcoming terrifying mars a combat coordinator die hard 8" is also a viable option. To bring it more in line with other heavy battleships, increase the CR to 11.
To be honest, with the current mars and gens, it is really hard to make this work.

Actually, it's more like triple. I started one ages ago that derailed into other subjects.
The models you have mentioned do need adjustment, and are probably already getting things done with the latest update.
The thread I have just started (again) is to provide targeted feedback to @Spartan Mike so that he doesn't have to go through all 700+ models in the range, trying to find mistakes.
Also, some players get better/worse performance out of certain models than others. (If you want an example of this, look at the Prussians' Elbe Carrier. It is one of the best battleships I have ever used, and has CV9 as a bonus. However, there is at least one person on the forums who will swear to any 7 gods of your choice that a rowboat with a slingshot is a better option.)

IF it makes sense or not, boarding is a balance tool to be able to get rid of larges and dreads. If u add all those things, boarding is completely impossible and could be removed as a rule.... In order to make things easier, the prizing/derelict whatever could be eased.

Ofc Corvettes can board larges... What I criticize is the comparison of 100 ponts killing 200 points with boarding. Thats simply not true. Corvettes always need help from other ships to protect them and to soften up the target. Corvettes' boarding attack is just the final blow in a long chain of cooperation.

For me Frigates are fine too. They are an anti boarding ship, helping to get rid of corvettes. As long as boarding exists, people will play corvettes. No doubt about that. The only thing that really hurts me is the lack of useful destroyers.

Just one more thing to remember: The current LOS rules for torpedoes are a real pain in the ass. Concerning models, give them the same LOS rules that regular ordnance has, so that pesky little models cannot block LOS to all torpedoes any more. This would streamline the rues and make torpedoes far easier to use. Assume that models that are bigger above the surface also have more depth below the water line, both for firing torpedoes as well as getting hit by them. This way torpedoes can be fired below smaller models in the same way that ordnance can fire over them. Torpedoes should still be blocked by terrain and glacier generators, because those have more mass below the water line than above the water line.
Torpedoes and rockets should be able to hit fortifications, but with black dice. This helps balancing fortifications as well as rockets/torpedoes.

Something that has not been adressed yet, but I find kinda useful is to give all Small Squadrons difficult target instead of small target. Why I think so? At least in our Meta it is "the bigger the better". We mostly play with larges and mediums. Smalls however are only good for boarding. I really wish to see some destroyer or frigate squadrons on the battlefield. As it is now, in most cases it just doesnt make sense to field them as they are one-hit-wonders and definitly not worth the price of a battleship (in case of destroyers). The difficult target would either force the players to spend unreasonable amount of firepower from larges or force them to play arround with small and non capitol models (e.g. light cruisers, that dont see play that often). This is a nice addition I think many of you will agree.

Death to all French Traitors!!! And Death to all OP defensive MARs
BTW another way of bringing the MK2 battery special rule into play could be to give sustained fire (1) vs all targets and (3) vs fortifications. This way I could get my 1 additional AD and have an actual use of the rule

I could imagine the terror cannon causes disorder tests, maybe even an additional success is needed. Would be awesome to take the opportunity from your opponent to link its weapons.

I just made up my mind on the new magnate as well.
Mk1 doesnt change a lot to its former version, so its ok,  far from brilliant, but okish... Shield 3 would have been an idea and fit better into a brawler theme. All other Battleships have better defenses then a magnate, so like all other large ships (yaya i know, Regent has cr10) its again a squishy paper ship. The argumentation for being able to take more damage and still return decent fire due to redoubtable doesnt count anymore, since the other comparable ships all have redoubtable on its weapons. So it only makes it to an ok status.
The MK2 changed a lot. The devastating on the battery is mostly interesting for area bombardment (about 7-8 hits on RB 3-4 ignoring defensive mars, putting one damage on a dread or maybe 2 crits on a clumbed up medium/small squad), in which turrets cant join anyway (Shoot em seperatly). It also offers you an interesting choice, once some damage is suffered, to give up devastating and regain some AD via the turrets. Redoubtable fits well into a brit army. Unless some new fortifications are realeased, Vault breaker is still a very useless rule, although its fluffy. To be honest im quite surprised by all these changes. Knowing SG usual mentality I expected them to be much less. Lets hope it is a positive sign for future balance issues. If it is enough, I would still like to see 1 more AD on the battery. Its very comparable to lets say a Aristotle, which has 15 AD across all RBs (not only RB 2-4, but slighty less AD on RB 2-3, but good synergies with target painters). However I never read "oh Aristotle is too good, I have a good ship". So I think  you can  savely say the MK2 is ok too. Nothing more, nothing less. The 10 Point increase is kinda useless to me. Should also be reconsidered unless the battery is buffed by one additional AD.
Hope my ideas help you to get a better picture.
