That's could be, but it changes a lot of the background for all the european Nation.  In the old lore Napoleon was assassinated in 1804, and even if it seems a little event, his death was a cornerstone for the dystopic history.
I see the fascination on have Napoleon alive and commanding the Latin Alliance, but I suggest to refer at Napoleon as the third (in fact his nephew Luigi Bonaparte), this simplify your works at the background  and helps with the timeline

I have another question. I've red SUSA's narrative and it's cited Napoleon. Which Napoleon we talk about?

Hi all, I have a question . Is it possible to have a timeline where put on evidence the events? For example, in old background Napoleon the First was murdered in 1804, throwing the neo empire of France in a civil war, then in the same year kingdom of Prussia invaded Austria and defeated the Hasburg army reclaiming the Emperor title of Germany.
Just to have an idea of what changes are. Thank you

I'm an old player, and I know how much fluff is important...
In some ways, this  rearrangment of alliances can be a good thing for the game, but Latin Alliance resembles a miscellanea of some high-exploding  potions...
I can see some connection but for me these connection are so flebile that you cannot base an alliance from them...

By the way, I play LoIS and I hope in a good background  for my nation

I've made some maths on Spuntone's firepower... It's impressive!
From RB2 a squadron can place over 20 dices! something that can give some trouble on enemy Dreadnought, finally!

I field my LoIS fleet without allies too. Even in others games I never used allies, a philosophical choice

Yes - that's an error. It should have Inventive Scientists. I will change that asap.

Torpedoes without defensive CC is a good start ;-)

Some page earlier I've proposed a map of Italian political situation before the first napoleonic campaign. It's a good base IMHO

I am rather disappointed with the route that the went with fluff wise.

I love the models though.  My wallet is not looking happy.

    New Italians!!! Wow
I surely buy the aerial box, and probably the support box.
from the images it seems the sky fortress and the Pilum are unarmed, I'll like to see other images.
Pugio is a Cinquedea without the upper turret, I like the Minerva (hope it is a 6HP ship), it seems a little version of the Mars.
I'm displeased for the background... it's lost every idea of a real league of autonomousstates that hold the ground together for common purpose...
Now we just have to wait for the new PDF to see the stats. I hope in some upgrade fr the Fortuna...

I'll see more on small and medium than a large sub.
Italy never had large subs, Mediterraneo is not Atlantic Ocean...

That's clear and probably Fortuna in the new role is strong enough, but it loses too much things in conversion from 1.1. I see the logic behind the losses, and I accept them. A full squadron firing at RB1 18 AD in Hit and Run tattics are a good thing to use, even against a Dread...
For the future, if LoIS will have a Land force (I hope so), Fortuna can be re-fitted with a Bomb bay... Italian are used to multi-role planes (look at SM 79 "Sparviero")... something like MKI Torpedo Bomber MKII Land Bomber.
    What do you think?

Heya Glauco, just saw your post (had a busy week or two). I'll try to explain what makes me think about those two units the way I do:

Mars: The Mars received a series of small and changes that together change it from a (imho) rather poor BB to a very good vessel with some clear strengths. Some of the changes are obvious like the higher CR, the bigger raised turrets and broadsides. +1" of movement: This is very useful. Making the Mars one of the fastest battleships able to avoid getting boarded too easily and enabling hit & run to finally work properly (as it makes a huge difference if you can do 3"+3" (as in 1.1) or 4"+4" with turns in 2.0. It is better at hunting tough targets than the Affondatore as it can get one or even two very powerful gunnery attacks and thanks to its high speed, it is able to dictate when to start an engagement at optimum range against such ships. The broadsides while still not too powerful are enough to damage/sink some smalls and help to defend against boarding once more.

I agree the Affondatore somewhat is the even better deal. It is tougher to sink and just 35 points up. The difference partially comes with the strategic value attached (and don't forget that the MTBs give away points now). The Affondatore is tougher than the Mars it likely won't be gunned down until it sinks. In most cases the enemy will be forced to prize it and here the Mars has the edge of better movement and its broadsides to defend against and while you can go on after a prized Mars, a prized Affondatore likely means GAME OVER (or your opponent is not taking care of his field orders). I did run some tests with double Affondatore and I think this is a very powerful fleet build, nevertheless the Mars now imho has a place within the ORBAT.

The Fortuna: Here I have to clarify something. Maybe the unit needs some tweaks. Up to now I don't think so. When I mentioned it being Bunnahabhains Masterpiece I meant the aspect that he found a place within the ORBAT that had not been taken. Keeping it as the 4 strong RBIV murderer was not possible and although we tried it never felt right as a standard torpedobomber. Changing it to basically something like a flying torpedo destroyer gave it a nice spot in the ORBAT. Now you can fly in obscured or even fly in low (and hide behind a Mars/Affondatore, island) while approaching your target and a unit of four Fortunas can really thin the ranks of small boarders (link two of them at rb III and sink two or do four separate attacks and see what is left) or put a crit on most larges in RBII. They take some getting used to, but I really think this is a unit with a good potential.

@McKinstry: While I think the Mars is strong, we will stick to different opinions about the BB comparison. The Mars has the best peak gunnery values and it has some other strong points, but just calling it the strongest BB in that point range imho is a bit biased.
