  1. I basically atleast 1 or 2 of everything. The idea I could use it UCS or DW. The Fortications where bigger than I imagined.
  2. I made a large order from Spartan during the 15% off everything sale. A good part of the order was UCS fortications that I always wanted. Here are a few examples and pictures of UCS fortications order. Now back to the UCS Hardback. I must say what a great book this is. It has examples of great painted ships and even a basic how to paint guide. Lastly it has some introductory scenarios for new players. It's a must have for any UCS fan.
  3. Great job. How do get your colors to blend so well?
  4. Sorry here's the link to my original post on step by step. In there I show the green rods I used. http://community.spartangames.co.uk/index.php?/topic/906-tank0625-assembling-xelocian-hantari-cruisers-step-by-step/?fromsearch=1
  5. Yes the old Xelocian Frigates are the size of corvetts now.
  6. And here is a step by step on putting them to gather I did a long time ago. This may be helpful?
  7. The ship looks amazing (as always) and enjoyed your added fluff.

    Kurgan's Fleets

    Love your battlestation!
  9. I forgot to add the link for paint. http://www.minitaire.com/ Here is where I buy the paint from incase you can't find a local store. http://www.lastsquare.com/zen-cart/index.php?main_page=index&manufacturers_id=26&zenid=0mo4csd36u5hf3e3iobg0u3h16
  10. Try Minitaire Ghost tint paint it's made for airbrushing (it also goes on great with brush btw). Their made to go on in layers. The more layer the darker the color. I will post some examples of my ships with the ghost tint paint. In the two examples, I used grey primer with white and black added for shadow effect. The tint colors where red and yellow. Now I did add a gloss finish at the end. The tint colors go on glossy but when a matte finish is add, they lose their glossy look.
  11. Yes FSA air units are a amazing and work well with our sea fleets. It's a must have. I like them all. If I had to pick one to start off with, I would go with the Savannah.
  12. Thanks, I already went back and cleaned it up a bit. The yellow glow effect looks better in person, then the pictures. But your commits are always welcomed. I went through 6 different colors before I pick the golden yellow. The yellow is Minitaire's golden yellow ghost color (translucent). It was painted over a white base. I do like the look of it, because it makes a easy glow effect.
  13. I agree with the quality. I got a Terran and a Dindrenzi fleet box. Both are great.
  14. Here are some civil war naval ship names. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:American_Civil_War_naval_ships_of_the_United_States https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:American_Civil_War_patrol_vessels_of_the_United_States https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confederate_States_Navy
  15. Ok I think I'm also most done Battleships. Just need to put a Matt finish on. So the ships are a little shinny yet.
  16. If anyone wants to see more pictures of the Hawker carrier (and new Terran carrier) here is the link. http://community.spartangames.co.uk/index.php?/topic/14469-terran-enforcement-fleet/page-5#entry268219
  17. Solar is a single flight stand and Hawker is a double.Just wanted to add that the Solar flight stand is in the middle of ship, but the Hawker is in the back aft. That maybe the reason for the need of a double stand.
  18. Here a picture of the Hawker carrier next to the new assualt carrier.
  19. Here are some pictures with the Hawker Carrier.
  20. I'm curious, what oil paints do you use?
  21. I will post some pictures this weekend
