    Yes...I can see the timeline shifting where basically all the nations of the world combine and have peace for years...until an alien race called the covenant attack, and humanity is threatened by these giant rings, then again that could just be DW dissapearing and Halo taking over....

Battle: RSN vs Terran 600 points Players: Zenker (RSN) Vs Vieshel (Terran) Battle report: RSN 8 - Terran 2 Mision 2: Border Clash Turn finished: 7 The battle finished with the Terran battleship with half hull point, the last hull point was maked by 1 bomber wing from the RSN battleship, who has 6 hull points (3 damaged) Both players enjoed themselves ^^ It was a epic battle all the time .

  3. Persecution is a special beast, we don't have anything like it in our arsenal and maybe not even the game so it's hard to compare with other ships. It's a solid crowd control unit and can be a nice boarding monster. We have better and cheaper boarding ships, so not an option for me though. What I found it can do really well is rip several ships apart in one activation if played well. I run it with 3 Dindrenzi Escorts further pushing the AD potential and slowing the degrading effect. The setup is: Persecution Dreadnought - +1 Shield, -1" Turn Limit, 3x Dindrenzi Escort total 350 points and you can add Decimator Warheads With this you have up to four very powerful attacks, realistically two or three per turn each easily crippling to most ships. So you can do following combinations: 26AD + 12AD + 12AD 20AD + 18AD + 12AD 14AD + 14AD + 14AD + 14AD Can't think of anyone else doing the same thing. So if you manage to get it in RB2 undamaged you are a winner.

    Truth be told, this game is going to the dogs The game itself is great, but poor marketing, ideas (or lack thereof) poor decision making have really hurt the game in the past 12 - 18 months to the point that Stores are removing as much of their stock as they can Fleets are being spammed on Ebay for prices sometime 30 or 40 % RRP The forums are almost dead Not many people globally are playing The lore was something that could have had real focus, instead it has stagnated over the past 3 years due to short attention spans Ive been DW's biggest advocate over the last 2 years, had real excitement for the game..........all of that has almost erroded to the point that I dont really care, If not for the League that gets ran up in the north east I wouldnt have played a single game this year, and wouldnt really be bothered If that doesnt speak volumes Spartan.........then I guess you dont really deserve Dystopian wars.......

To me it's the only viable option as it needs some accompaniment and our Directorate escorts are pretty much terrible as without Special Forces they lack the boarding synergy with their parent ships as all except for the Overseer/Dominance can get Special Forces (crucial for any boarding specialized ship). Without SF they are useless. If you focus on boarding it can get up to 10AP by itself with SF, SA and to 16AP with three escorts. Anarchist can get to 12AP with SF, SA by itself for much less and with solid indirects plus with possible 5 wings of Assault Shuttles with another 10AP. With escorts that's 18 AP. Much cheaper option. Even cheaper option is Integration with the same AP potential as Persecution but also having 6 wings. So for boarding choice it's far from ideal. To me that leaves the shooting option and without accompaniments it degrades really fast...too fast. So option with Dindrenzi escorts is actually the only viable one, at least to me.

  8. I would simply make it so they only cover 1 squadron. Launch interceptors out to cover your Heavy Cruisers, they ONLY cover the heavy cruisers. They aren't useless then, but you have to at least pick and choose what you want to cover. At most, make it so they cover 1 squadron, and if they're still within so many inches of another they can contribute half their PD at most. Full PD to their target. that 4 pd extra is now only a 2. As for having bombers/fighters just floating around, they can only ever contribute half of their PD to anything. No more 6 extra PD bubble just because you have bombers waiting to make a run.

    I have neglected this topic for a long time and it's time to change that. I haven't really completed since my last post and Dindrenzi still need those finishing touches...but I still painted something...Sorylian/Relthoza Taskforce is halfway done, OmniDyne Gunships are halfway done, Directorate Reinforcement box and WR Battlecruisers are prepared for painting and lots of models assembled and ready for priming (Kedorian fleet, OmniDyne Foundry, some Dindrenzi, beacons and stations plus some terrain). What's important for you is I actually finished three Ba'Kash Heavy Cruisers and today got some time to make their photos. Here they are, enjoy

Ten seconds into the game, everything will be on fire, airships will somehow be at RB1 and a furious polish man wearing balsa wood wings will be screaming at your commodore in a language you don't understand. Beware Gryf Flame blimps- they're cheap, fast and full of angry blokes and have terrifying flamethrowers. The PLC also lack tough heavies, and are somewhat squishy in general.

  12. I modified a Hawker Industries Excelsior to be both a different looking Hawker battleship and a stand in for pirates. I had two hawker patrol boxes and won't often need two battleships so I figured why the heck not. Here's a picture: I liked the last generation ship style but I wasn't too keen on the sides with the shield veins. So I added some bulk to the sides to push them out and then flared the shield veins to look swept back. I think it's a sleek effect. In my head I justify it as a heavily modified and retrofitted Excelsior or a pirate captain's prize that has been modded to fit their needs.

  15. Recently added a Heavy Helix to my army. Here is the first tank destroyer. Still a WIP though. It needs some OSL and off course basing. Really like how this model turned out. Was a bit unsure about the final highlight. Its a bit brighter then my previous one. I've used Valleyo burning orange instead of Army Painter Pure Red but I like the effect. Makes the model pop a bit more.

    ULTIMATE 1OOO point lists

    Nastiest list I could think of on a moment's notice: Tyrant - 170 - 195 +3 Wings- free Shield Projector (Self) - 10 3 Interceptors - 15 2x Marshall - 260 3x Horizon Assault Cruiser - 105 - 120 +3 AP, remove Planetfall - 15 3x Turale Torpedo Cruisers - 180 6x Wayfarer - 120 6x Wayfarer - 120 Marshalls and Turales should be a bit obvious- they can hang back and throw stupid numbers of torpedoes, and then both have relatively nasty weapons should anything get close. With side weapons, they can just kind of move across the table laterally, as well, rather than needing to advance, which can baffle enemy plans depending of how fast their fleet is. The kicker is combining this with the Tyrant, which can babysit them with 'Ceptors for a while, but is also, y'know, a Tyrant. 3 Shields with Projector (self) is tough to crack, even with the average 6-10 Dr/Cr. In theory, you're setting up a choice- waste fire on the Tyrant, which isn't really a ship you're relying on for firepower but can dominate late game if you let it, or advance on the Torpedo hurlers working the backline. Horizons tend to be unsubtle, but they do have a subtle use here, namely buckets of PD- should you encounter a fleet with good Interceptor coverage, they'll still be inclined to move forward to combat your Torpedo boats and eventually they'll have to deal with your Horizons pouring Point Defence into their SRS. At that point, the AP is just a bonus, what they're there to do is make sure SRS can't shut your other ships down. This is actually part of the mentality that leads to the Wayfarers over other T3s. On one hand, they can take potshots from pretty dang far away if you aren't worrying about Interceptors. 6 AD out to 40" is pretty nuts, BUT should your foe be bringing Interceptors, and because all the Terran T3s have 1 PD, the larger squad size brings more PD to shoot at their SRS. You could shunt them in to try and take their 'Ceptors down a notch.
